White Wall Art
White artwork is a test of craft. With almost no colour to carry the piece, everything depends on what the surface is doing, plaster texture, impasto ridges, embossed line, paper grain, the shadow inside a fold. Get that wrong and you have a blank canvas; get it right and it is the most quietly expensive-looking art in a room.
The collection is built accordingly. Textured white-on-white abstracts with heavy visible paint. Minimal line drawings on cream and eggshell grounds. Pale architectural studies of arches and curves. Snow and salt-flat landscapes. White hydrangea and magnolia florals, where the flower reads as sculpture rather than colour.
These pieces belong in rooms that already have enough happening: a patterned rug, a bold sofa, an exposed brick wall. They add composition without adding another colour to manage.
One decision matters more than usual here. On a white wall, a white canvas needs a defined edge, so choose a black or dark wood floating frame. As a gallery wrap on a white wall it will vanish, which is occasionally the effect you want and usually not.
Cotton canvas, Greenguard Gold certified non-toxic inks, FSC-certified pine, eight sizes from 8x24 to 24x72 inches.
