Tapestry Wall Art
Tapestries were the original wide-format wall art. Before framed painting dominated European interiors, a woven hanging ran the length of a hall, both as decoration and as insulation. This collection borrows that shape and that visual language, translated onto stretched canvas.
The artwork is textile in appearance rather than in material: kilim and Berber geometry, mudcloth marks, ikat gradients, block-printed repeats, Persian and Anatolian motifs, macramé knot patterns and woven-thread textures rendered with enough surface detail to read as cloth from across a room.
Practically, this is what canvas does better than a real hanging. A woven tapestry sags, collects dust and needs a rod; a stretched canvas hangs flat, stays clean and arrives with hardware pre-installed. You get the pattern language of textile art with none of the maintenance.
These pieces suit rooms that are heavy on hard surfaces, concrete floors, glass, steel, where the eye is looking for something soft. They also layer unusually well with plain furniture, since the pattern supplies all the interest needed.
Made on cotton canvas with fade-resistant, non-toxic inks over hand-stretched, FSC-certified pine. Eight sizes to 24x72 inches, either a 1.25-inch gallery wrap or one of four floating frame colours.
