Landscape Wall Art

Landscape painters have fought the shape of the canvas for centuries. The view in front of you is wide and shallow; the frame you are given is usually not. Our panoramic ratio removes the compromise, which is why this is one of the deepest collections in the store.

The range covers ultrawide mountain ranges and ridgelines, desert and canyon country, misty forests and pine horizons, rolling farmland and fields, lakes and river valleys, and abstract landscapes where the terrain is reduced to bands of colour. Palettes run from muted sage and stone to deep indigo dusk and warm ochre.

Landscapes are the most effective art for making a room feel larger, because they give the eye a middle distance and a horizon to travel to. Hang one on the wall you see when entering a room rather than the wall behind you.

Scale matters here more than in any other genre. A 24x72 inch mountain panorama above a sofa is a view; the same image at 8x24 is a postcard. If the wall allows it, size up.
