Brown Wall Art
Brown returned to interiors properly in the last few years, and it turns out to be the most forgiving colour in the palette. It does what black does structurally, anchoring a room, without the hardness, and unlike grey it reads warm under artificial light.
The collection separates into distinct families. Chocolate and espresso for depth. Walnut and chestnut, which echo timber and furniture. Cognac and caramel, the leather-adjacent tones that lift a room. And clay, taupe and mushroom, which blur into the neutral range and layer with beige and cream.
Subjects follow the earth-tone logic: desert and canyon landscapes, ploughed fields and bare winter trees, coffee and cacao still lifes, horses and bison, tonal abstracts with visible brush texture, and mudcloth-inspired geometric work.
Brown art is at its best where there is already wood in the room but the two tones do not have to match. A cognac-toned canvas above an oak sideboard, or a deep espresso abstract on a cream wall in a room with walnut floors, both work precisely because of the tonal gap.
Printed on cotton canvas with fade-resistant, non-toxic inks and hand-stretched over sustainable FSC-certified pine. Eight sizes from 8x24 to 24x72 inches, ready to hang.
