Abstract Wall Art
Abstraction is the only genre that gains from being stretched. A landscape cropped to 3:1 loses sky; an abstract cropped to 3:1 gains momentum, because a gesture, a stroke or a colour field has no correct proportion to begin with. That is why abstract work makes up one of the largest parts of our catalogue.
Four approaches run through the collection. Gestural work, where a single loaded brushstroke crosses the whole canvas. Colour field painting, built from soft bands and washes that behave almost like a horizon. Impasto and textural pieces, where thick paint ridges catch the light. And hard-edge colour block work, closer to graphic design than painting, for rooms with strong modern furniture.
Abstract art is also the practical answer when a room has no obvious subject to hang. It carries colour without narrative, so it will not date the way a themed print does, and it lets you pull two or three tones out of a rug or a sofa without matching anything literally.
Every canvas is printed on cotton with fade-resistant, Greenguard Gold certified inks and hand-stretched over FSC-certified pine at studios in the USA, UK, EU, Canada and Australia. Eight sizes from 8x24 to 24x72 inches, framed or gallery wrapped.
